When you come across some

When you come across some obvious diamond that still do not exhibit the perfect flawless character of the regular stone, you need not be dumbfounded. They really could be diamonds, only they could have been formed in certain regions of the earth that are not as deep as necessary, but that posses similar properties. They sell for less cash. For diamonds that are formed in shallow regions, they are not brought to the surface by molten magma. It is the earths tectonic movement that transports these diamonds. They are the types you find in places like Kazakhstan. Now you know why they dont cost as much. The diamonds that are created traditionally in the bowels of the earth are ancient. Those that are made in shallower regions and brought to the surface by tectonic movement are generally younger. They many times comprise relics of larger diamonds which are actually nothing more than graphite. Their purity do not serve them very well as jewels. You can find diamonds in certain streams that flow from volcanic ranges. You can find some in the places where they truly belong cratons. Some are found in meteorites and near meteorite craters on Earths surface; and a good portion in certain sedimentary rock formations. Usually the best types are the ones made into jewels. Others find use in various other applications. Meteorites can produce some of the pressure and heat that can transform carbon into diamond at that very moment of impact. Such diamonds are called ureilite and they are not often very large. For the most part, ureilite is opaque, limiting its value as a gem.
