The gifts are probably what the child

by admin on Sep.03, 2010, under Uncategorized

The gifts are probably what the child looks forward to the most while waiting for his birthday to arrive.

As parents, we would love to give our children their hearts desire and indulge them with whatever they have been asking or dreaming for through the year. But there has to be a limit on the gifts that we give our children. Depending on their age, the budget for gifts should be allocated. Parents should never go overboard in buying gifts for their children and should set limits on the quantity as well as the budget. Going overboard will most certainly spoil the children especially during their growing years, which are very crucial time of development for them.

So what makes the best birthday gift from one year to the next? Something unique and captivating that reflects their passions and interests at each stage of life is probably the best gift you can give them in the early years.

Younger children love toys and games that are educational and creative.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

by admin on Sep.03, 2010, under Uncategorized

Nothing could be further from the truth. We are constantly tearing down and rebuilding every organ, cell and DNA molecule we possess. Even our bones are constantly replacing themselves. The material for all this renovation is food. Any deficiency in the needed materials, even short term, and our body will cleverly sacrifice one part to repair another; like scavenging muscle for protein to repair sunburned skin.

The body is an amazingly complex system; its nutritional requirements are equally complex and yet humanity has been thriving on a wide range of regional diets for a long time. In most cases, primitive regional diets make the best of what is foods are available and the physical conditions that prevail, and for perhaps millions of years, have allowed us to reach reproductive age and live long enough to rear children to replace us.

In this article we’re going to

by admin on Sep.03, 2010, under Uncategorized

In this article we’re going to discuss the fine line between too much child care and just the right amount of it.

In today’s economy it is a fact of life that it isn’t always possible to survive on one income. All too often in a family, both parents have to work for a living. When children aren’t involved in the mix this isn’t too big a problem since even if just one of the couple were working they still wouldn’t see each other until the worker came home. But in the case of a child it’s a big difference. With both parents out of the house the child, depending on its age, needs to be cared for. Even a young teenager shouldn’t be left all alone day after day. Teenagers can get into a lot of trouble unsupervised, even for just a couple of hours.

But what about your small child, the one who needs care all day? Certainly finding care isn’t difficult, as there are many daycare centers available. But that isn’t the issue of this article. The issue is the question, “Just how beneficial is constant child care to your child?” This isn’t as easy a question as it appears to answer.

Sure, we can all agree that you can’t leave a 2 year old home alone all day.

Podolski went close

by admin on Sep.03, 2010, under Uncategorized

Podolski went close from the edge of the box in the first minute and set the tone for German dominance. Their midfield continued to roam almost unmolested, with Borowski & Frings becoming more involved, and Schweinsteiger providing real quality & vision.

The third goal came on the hour from a fine move down the left where Schweinsteiger fed Lahm whose deflected cross left Marin, who had been easily Costa Rica’s best defender, for once flat footed. Klose rose unchallenged to send a header seemingly goalward. A fine save by Porras only delayed the inevitable as Klose emphatically despatched the rebound.

The crowd now seemed to start enjoying the occasion as much as the German players, and Lahm again caused problems down the left.

Saudi contract set to create city jobs

Saudi contract set to create city jobs

0 Comments | Express & Echo; Exeter (UK), Sep 1, 2010

NEW jobs are expected to be created in Exeter as a specialist software firm expands in the Middle East.

Turning Point HR Solutions has clinched a contract with Saudi Arabian IT provider the Jeraisy Group which is set to be worth Pounds 3.5 million over the next three years.

The partnership will enable the company to sell its performance management software to more businesses in the kingdom.

It follows a recent trade visit organised by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

Turning Point director Peter Brauer said the firm had been working in Saudi Arabia for two and a half years, mainly for clients in the petrochemical sector.

It develops bespoke software to assist companies with succession planning and talent management.

The new contract is seen as a springboard to significantly increase Turning Point’s presence in Saudi Arabia and the wider region.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for us,” said Mr Brauer. “We are going to be opening offices in Riyadh, Jeddah and Gamman to take this forward. It basically makes the company very secure for our South West based staff.”

While the new offices are expected to be staffed by local Saudi workers, the growth of the firm’s overseas client base will create work in Exeter for software developers and in training and support roles. Mr Brauer said the company was likely to take on another 15 staff locally over the next three years.

“The more work they generate over there, the more support we will need here in the South West to serve that market,” he added.

One factor driving demand for its services is the planned Saudi- isation of senior levels of the country’s workforce.

“They are a very young economy and a huge amount of key roles are filled by expatriates,” explained Mr Brauer. “The Government wants to get more Saudis into these key roles and in order for organisations to do that they need a training and development programme, and this is what our software does.”

He added: “We saw a drop-off in demand in the UK market 18 months ago and that drove us to look for alternative markets.

“At the beginning of this year we joined a UKTI trip to Riyadh and did a presentation at the British embassy and that’s how the deal with Jeraisy came about.

“UKTI have been very helpful, both the team based at the British embassy over there and Exeter-based international trade adviser Steve Southcott.”

Mr Brauer started Turning Point six years ago, having previously worked for a London HR consultancy.

Originally based in Cambridge, the company relocated to offices near Crediton when he and his wife decided to move to Devon, subsequently moving to the Senate in Southernhay Gardens.

With other offices in London, Bristol, Cambridge and Glasgow, the company employs a total of 30 staff, including 10 in the South West.

Turning Point aims to use Saudi Arabia as a base from which to expand further into the Middle East
